Recovering Hardwood Floors and Removing Adhesive

One of our big goals for 2018 was to remove all of the old carpets from our house. The carpets that we moved into were stained and old when we arrived. Things only went downhill once our squad of boys added to the mess. :/ See exhibit A of the state of carpet in our boys room: In previous homes, we had hardwood floors and we loved the look of them. They felt timeless, were easy to clean, and always felt fresh to us. However, we knew that we did not want the cost that hardwood floors brought with them

Easy DIY Garage Shelves

Our garage was a hot mess. Even when it was organized it still didn’t look organized and all the things that were “put away” made their way back to chaos. On top of this, we seemed to accumulate more and more things that had no place to go. Can you relate? So we decided on two projects to help keep our garage organized and find a place for our stuff. Automatic Latte Machine: Mr. Coffee Cafe Barista

I love lattes! I remember telling friends all the time, I wish I could have one of these everyday. They’re smooth and creamy and I just love the texture and taste. Because of this love for lattes, I would often go to Starbucks. Earlier this year in May, I decided to look at how much I spend at Starbucks. When I looked up 2017, I was shocked to see I spent $374 that year. What!?! [insert screaming emoji] The average American actually spends $1100 per year on coffee, and Katie and I may be close to that when you look

WiFi Light Switch: Leviton Dimmer Review

A few years ago we bought a great house that needed lots of upgrades, lighting, wallpaper removal, floors, and most of the wall outlets, light switches, etc. It’s been quite a journey! Since we were upgrading anyway we decided to delve into the new WiFi Light switches so we could control our lights remotely, put them on a schedule, and control them with a Google Assistant. We researched several dimmer switches and landed on Leviton, both for price and brand dependability. They’ve been around since 1906 and have consistently had quality products with good reviews. One thing to also note,
